[Job description]

The company is changing gears to meet the growing needs of the customers - from a handful of robots to hundreds of robots; from a small team to multiple squads. The team works closely with some of the premier enterprise customers in Japan to build state-of-the-art robotics solutions by the cloud robotics platform, and the surrounding ecosystem. The team’s mission is to pioneer scalable, collaborative, and flexible robotics solutions.

In this role, the Robotics Deployment Engineer will be responsible for:

-Working closely with Project Managers to devise, maintain, and continually improve project plans for deployments

-Installing and configuring robotics systems at customer sites

-Planning and executing the on-site tasks of commissioning of robotics sites in coordination with other deployments and operations personnel

-Maintaining standard procedure documentation pertaining to deployments

-Travelling up to 75% of the time


-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field of study

-At least 2 years experience in similar role, such as: Field Engineer; Infrastructure Operations Engineer

-Prior history with installing, configuring, and/or maintaining combined hardware/software products at customer locations

-Intrinsically motivated to provide high-quality solutions and resolve issues encountered onsite

-Excellent communication skills

-Fluency in Japanese

-Business-level English

[Preferred requirements]

-Knowledge of Linux and the CLI

-Understanding of computer networking

-Basic understanding of electronics and mechanical systems


Employment Type: Permanent 

Trial period: 3 or 6months

Estimated annual income: 5 - 8M JPY

Work location: Tokyo

Working hours: Flex-time (Core time is 11:00~15:00)

Holidays: 2 days a week (Saturdays and Sundays), national holidays

Vacation: Summer vacation, year-end and New Year holidays, and other vacations available
